Recognition, not prediction

This work is about recognition — owning the life you have been given, with all its parts and the patterns that move underneath your choices and the things that happen to you. There is always uncontrollable content beyond our conscious exploration, but much of psychological well-being rests on the sense of being in control of one's life, and that sense holds only when it is sustained by the conscious motivation behind a choice. Whatever meets us along the way is not always calculable or pleasant, yet it is inseparable from the very choice to pursue fulfilment.

Astrology is one of the instruments I use to read the psychological terrain. Its most fundamental anchor is the Cross — the four places where the edges of the horizon and the meridian land in the zodiac — which translates into four basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, relatedness, and belonging. The planets relate synchronistically to psychological functions, each carrying an archetypal quality and acting out in a particular behavioural arena, and together they form the chart.

The chart is the architecture of a being at the moment it entered the world — a unique individual already interwoven with the collective — in which every compositional detail is, in an absolute sense, perfect. It hands down no verdict of good or bad, right or wrong; there is only the ongoing need for dynamic integration.

Astrology is a symbolic language that speaks in range rather than in literal specifics: it says something real about qualitative tendencies and how they meet what surrounds them, while the actual outcome depends entirely on the conscious integration of the one living the life.

Who this is for

People arrive in a wide range of states — some having begun to doubt the life they are living, others trying to make sense of something that will not resolve, and those drawn by nothing heavier than open curiosity. The reasons run as wide as the mind goes.

Free · open to anyone

Present matters

This is the open part of the work, free to anyone, and it comes in two streams. The first is the Moon as it moves — short written readings of its present phase and sign, the quality felt nearest and changing most quickly, which I write and keep current. The second is video, where I take up the wider current positions and read them aloud. Both are interpretation, not horoscope: they speak to a quality moving through the collective, not to the particulars of any single life, and they prescribe nothing — astrology here describes a field of meaning, and what you make of it inside your own life stays yours.

The Moon now

8 July 2026

With the Moon in Taurus, the emotional need turns toward what is solid — what can be touched, kept, relied on. Taurus is the part of us that holds on, that moves at the body's own pace and trusts only what has weight and lasts. This is not a quality that begins things. It settles into what is already there and asks whether it still stands. The Last Quarter meets that steadiness at the turn where the light is draining rather than building. Three-quarters through the cycle, a waning Moon works by subtraction. So the Taurus grip is not gathering more. It tests what was already gathered — which of the things you have kept are still worth their weight.

The Sun stands in Cancer, and it is the core identity — the light your biographical life is lit by. Here it falls on the ground of home, of family, of who and where one feels belonging. So the weighing lands close: which comforts still hold you, and which you keep only out of habit. Met consciously, the Taurus quality becomes the patience to release what no longer nourishes, without grabbing for a replacement. Left unconscious, it clings — keeping the familiar because it is familiar, past the point it gives anything back. A waning Moon takes apart slowly, so that what carries into the next cycle is only what genuinely sustains you.

Individual readings

The reading

A reading is aimed at recognition rather than information — not a presentation delivered at you, but a close reading of how the separate parts integrate into a rhythmic whole. I read the major parts of the natal chart, identifying them symbolically and seeing how they relate — the themes and patterns that tell the story of Why, and my counsel comes from that whole rather than from any single part. We begin with the natal chart always, because getting a grip on it as a whole is essential before turning to transits, progressions, or synastry; the timing layer enters only when its necessity genuinely calls for it.

The reading does not break your terrain or your difficulty. It loosens the verdict you have carried over them — the sorting into good and bad, right and wrong — and what the verdict obscured begins to clarify and to open into the possibilities of choice that were there all along. What you do with what you recognize stays yours; I am not here to tell you what to do. What I aim to deliver is a clear and useful reading of the terrain and its purpose. You leave holding both the recognition and the responsibility of the choices actually available to you — empowered and motivated, with a meaningful direction to live in the present moment.

How it is delivered

You can receive the reading as a live call or as a recording I make and send you — either one in voice or video — or as a written reading addressed to you and your moment. The live call is the fullest form, because recognition happens in real time and in the body; a recording holds the same live working of the chart in a form you can return to. In every format the work is the same live recognition — what changes is only whether you are present as it happens or receive it after. A written reading is not a glossary of your placements explained one by one; that frozen form is the one thing this practice will not produce, because it turns a living chart into static labels, the kind that settle into verdicts instead of opening into recognition.

What it is not

It is not prediction, and not fortune-telling. Nor is it comfort that depends on an escape route; the comfort it offers is the steadier, more robust kind — that where you are is real, that it belongs to you, and that the moment is the right one for what it is, whether or not it is comfortable.

To begin

Fill in the form below. I read every submission myself and reply by email with the next step and a payment link. A reading requires an exact birth time, because the houses — the arenas your life actually plays out in — cannot be placed without it.

Start typing and pick your town from the list — it pins the exact place, even when several share a name.
An exact time is needed — the houses depend on it. It is usually on your birth certificate, or you can ask a parent. If you truly cannot find it, write to me before booking.

Not sure yet?

If you are uncertain whether this is the right place for you and your situation, or you are carrying something else you would rather first put in your own words, write to me here. No birth details and no commitment — only a message, which I read myself and answer.

About

My name is Victor Sehlin, and I came to this work the long way — theory and experience overturning each other rather than arriving in any neat order. I have studied a great deal, and each thing I lived carried me into the next: bodywork as a massage therapist, then years of facilitating sessions with entheogenic and purgative remedies, a return to astrology with that lived ground already beneath it, and the study of psychology. Each layer became the medium for the one before it: the body to be useful close at hand, the medicine to investigate inner states under one's own power, astrology as the symbolic language that confirms impressions and reveals through structured guidance, and psychology as the shared language of modern culture.

I have come to trust only what I have confirmed by living it, never what I have borrowed, and the recovery of one's own authority is, to me, the ground the work stands on. So I use the chart partly to keep myself honest: it is the most reliable way I know to test what I feel against a structure of reality.

I do this because I have watched, in myself and in others, how much of an original life gets lost inside borrowed structure and empty routine, and how much of it returns the moment a person recognizes the path as their own. The work I want to do is to help people find what is genuinely theirs and bring it into the life they share with others — loosening the judgments that have kept their own path obscured, and reminding them of the larger movement their life is already part of. It returns power to the person rather than gathering it toward anyone or anything else, myself included. That, more than anything, is the main point of it all.
